All products are represented accurately in the images. Due to the nature of clay and handmade items, there will be no refunds. Each item is handmade with loving care and contains perfections and imperfections. These are what make it beautiful and unique to Chelseafish. If you are not satisfied with your product, I will give a one time exchange for a same priced item. All return and re-shipping of the exhanged item is the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping and Handling

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Chelseafish pottery. I love the art of making and sharing, so it brings me great pleasure to send my sweet little nautical vessels your way. Within each purchase, the tax is included and there is a standard handling fee of $2.00 per order. This goes towards packing your vessel(s) and handling them. Shipping is estimated roughly based on weight. I reserve the right to increase or decrease this amount depending on where the item(s) are being shipped to and how heavy the box is.

International Customers: I reserve the right to calculate the cost of shipping internationally.

If the item does not have a ribbon on it that says "SOLD or ON CONSIGNMNET", it has already been made.  It should be shipped within 7 business days of confirmed purchase. If an item has been sold locally or online, a SOLD sign will be displayed. The item will remain on the site until a new one has been created to replace it. A new picture will be posted and although the item will be made as a replica, it will have beautiful variations due the material and the mood of the artist during time of creation. Yes...I reserve the right to say and do this. Isn't this fun! Although the item may be slightly different, you will always receive a version of the item represented in the image.

Please do not be discouraged if many of the items have a SOLD sign on them. I often do craft fairs and items sell fast. They can be duplicated and I am always working on a new body of work. I promise you will find something that suits your fancy and if not, I am more than happy to make it for you. Email me!

care of lowfire pottery

Some of the pottery I might sell on this site is called terra cotta. It is red in color. Terra cotta and white earthenware clay is lowfire. It is fired in a kiln that is not as hot as porcelain or stoneware clays that you find in industrial pottery. Terra cotta and earthenware is durable and beautiful but not as shock resistant as store bought pottery. Chelseafish pottery is functional, food resistant and food safe. You can wash your ware in the dishwasher, but it will last longer if you handwash it. You can put hot liquid in a terra cotta mug, but microwaving them is not recommended. Using a casserole dish in the oven is not recommended due to heat shock. This pottery is mainly used for food consumption, not creation. That being said, enjoy your beautiful red clay vessels adorned with exotic mermaids. They will bring a smile to your face and a hop in your step for sure.

I also sell porcelain as well and that is food save, dishwasher safe, microwave safe, but never put any handmade ceramic item in the oven... :)

terms of commissions

Commission work is welcome. I can work with the patron in the creation of the pottery, but please contact me only if you are interested in work that is similar to the work that I have online. I am happy to be creative and work with changing forms and designs. If a work is commissioned, an agreement will be made via email and that agreement once stated as an order must be paid for and cannot be refunded. There is an excitement and surprise in commission work. The pottery will be a mixture of the patron's request/intention and the creation of the artist. In placing a commission order, the patron is agreeing to these terms and will pay for the order via PAYPAL as if it were a product already created.
